The trees fall in and out of view behind the maple leaf struck in Ultra-High Relief (UHR) and highlighted by rose gold. Plating, which stands in for red, the boldest of Canada's fall hues and official colours. A triple-tech design: UHR, rose gold plating, and a pulsating pattern. New for 2025, rose gold plating joins the list of engraving technologies that come together beautifully on this coin, where the blushing hue alludes to Canada's red fall foliage. This collectible is crafted in 5 oz. Of 99.99% pure silver, and with a diameter of 65 mm, it is the largest of the 2025 UHR SML/GML coins. The SML's iconic leaf features a peak relief height of 1.4 mm, which is higher than the typical 5-oz. The Heart of the Forest pulsating effect is produced using an array of microscopic cubes that are positioned in such a way that they reflect light back to the viewer, creating the illusion of a shifting and never-ending view. This novel effect was achieved on the master tooling by using advanced laser engraving technology. Traditional engraving is no longer limited to millimetres-it is now possible to achieve engraved details as small as 0.02 mm.
